How does a court wedding benefit a man? - Kogi gov's aide asks

The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State  Governor on Cybercrime, Promise Emmanuel aka Kogi Rebel, has asked how court marriages benefit the male gender.

In a post shared on Facebook, Promise wondered why men go into court weddings with ‘broke women or a woman who is not as rich as them ’.

He averred that if the argument is that such men want to ensure that their properties remain with their wives and children in case they die, such men are better off writing a will than going for a court wedding.

‘’Why do men hold court weddings when marrying a broke woman or a woman who is not as rich as they are?

What is the actual benefit of a Court Wedding to a man?

If you want to protect your property to remain with your wife and kids after your demise, what happens to a WILL?

How does a court wedding benefit a man? ‘’
