Florida man allegedly murders girlfriend outside a bar, runs her over while his 5-year-old daughter and dog are in the car

A 40-year-old Florida man, Christopher Dodge Smith, has been arrested following an incident involving his girlfriend, Jessica Antolini, 30, outside a bar while his five-year-old daughter and pet dog were in his vehicle.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred on October 13 at Harbor Bar in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Witnesses said Smith appeared to be searching for Antolini before confronting her in the parking lot. The two reportedly had an argument before he used a firearm against her.

Authorities said Smith then drove away, allegedly running over Antolini in the process, while his daughter and dog were inside the vehicle.

According to court documents, Smith later called his mother and admitted to what had happened. His daughter also reportedly told investigators that her father had harmed Jessica.

Antolini was taken to a hospital, where she later passed away.

Police subsequently arrested Smith after he failed to stop for deputies. His daughter and dog were unharmed.

Smith is facing charges of first-degree homicide and child abuse and is being held without bond at the Pinellas County Jail.
