Businessman Carl Westcott has asked a court for permission to subpoena Katy Perry and her former partner, Orlando Bloom, over money he claims remains unpaid from the sale of his Santa Barbara home.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Westcott wants to question the pair about the outstanding balance from the $15 million property transaction. Westcott previously sued Perry’s business manager, Bernie Gudvi, seeking to overturn the sale. He lost that case and was ordered to transfer the property to Perry, while she was directed to pay a remaining balance of approximately $4 million.
In his latest filing, Westcott said Perry transferred $900,000 to him in June but had not paid the rest. Gudvi opposed the subpoena request, arguing that there was no emergency and that payment could not be completed until Westcott’s appeal concerning a separate sum of approximately $3 million allegedly owed to Gudvi was resolved.
He also accused Westcott of using the proposed subpoenas to harass Perry and Bloom. The judge has not yet ruled on the request. Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016 and separated in 2025. They share a six-year-old daughter, Daisy.
