A video capturing the moment a quick-thinking salesgirl in South Africa successfully locked an armed robber inside her store has sparked widespread admiration online.

CCTV security footage circulating widely on social media platforms shows an armed assailant entering a retail outlet in South Africa with the intent to steal cash and merchandise. Rather than complying or panicking, the quick-thinking salesgirl calmly stepped out of the premises, swiftly shut the main glass door, and turned the lock on the suspect.

Realising his escape route had been completely cut off, the trapped robber is seen pacing back and forth inside the empty store. Online viewers have praised the employee's bravery under pressure, noting how seamlessly she inverted a dangerous situation.
