• Widow of late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner details alleged mistreatment during their marriage

Crystal Hefner, widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, has accused her late husband of subjecting her to uncomfortable and non-consensual sexual experiences during their marriage.

Speaking on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast, the 40-year-old claimed she often felt obligated to comply with her husband's demands, even when she was uncomfortable.

“I do believe that I did whatever he wanted me to do. And if that involved sex, then I just did what he wanted me to do,” she said.

Crystal recalled several intimate encounters that she described as painful and distressing, questioning whether some of her experiences amounted to sexual assault.

She also alleged that Hugh attempted to pressure twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon into engaging in inappropriate sexual activity with each other.

“That is incest. That is disgusting,” she said, describing the experience of witnessing the alleged situation as deeply upsetting.

Crystal further claimed that Hugh used unclean intimate items during encounters with women, leaving her physically uncomfortable.

When podcast host Lisa Guerrero suggested that her experiences sounded like sexual assault, Crystal agreed.

The couple married in 2012 and remained together until Hugh passed away at 91 in September 2017.

Crystal has since moved on with marine biologist James Ward, whom she reportedly married in April 2026.
