Actor Richard Norton passes on unexpectedly after injecting peptides

Australian actor and martial artist Richard Norton’s demise has been linked to an injection of unapproved peptides, according to findings by a coroner in Melbourne.

Norton, 75, passed on in Melbourne on March 30, 2025, after suffering cardiac arrest. According to the coroner’s report cited by TMZ, an injection containing a combination of peptides triggered a severe allergic reaction that led to his cardiac arrest.

“The injection caused an anaphylactic reaction which in turn led to cardiac arrest,” the report stated. Norton reportedly had a prescription for the substance, which was intended for anti-ageing purposes. However, the coroner found that he administered more than the prescribed dose.

The report described his demise as believed to be the first in Australia attributed to peptide use. Norton had a lengthy career as an actor and martial artist, working alongside performers including Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan, Margot Robbie, Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson. He is survived by his wife, actress Judy Green.
