Why President Buhari could not be treated here in Nigeria- Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole says

Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has explained why President Buhari could not be treated here in Nigeria. In a recent interview with Thisday, Adewole said the long existing bond between President Buhari and his foreign doctors necessitated his continuous consultations with the doctors even as a sitting president.
According to Adewole, the existing relationship between a doctor and his patient is very important in the treatment of any ailment.
"One thing we must realize is that health is a complex issue. There’s what we call patient-doctor relationship; there is also a bond between the patient and the doctor and these are things we can’t play with. I used to have patients in Ibadan and they still call me, and say ‘we will like to see you’. Then I have to say no to them because I’m no longer available and ask, ‘why can’t you see somebody else?’ But many of them are reluctant to do so. That’s the complex thing about health. We should give him that choice. What we really wish is for Mr. President to be well and hearty. There is no cause for alarm. He came back and told us that he was ill and that he was treated. When we have that type of leader, I think we can go to sleep.”he said.

He was touted as the poorest president in Nigeria at the time of his election, with few huts and cows to his name, its interesting that he had enough funds to go to UK hospitals, to the extent of developing a 'bond' with the doctors there.

Sometimes I wonder if some of these Buhari's men even sucked their mother's breasts.

All this English just to deceive us. Someone help me tell that bastardization Minister that he is a fool. The required facility is not in Nigeria simple. He should spend his energy in revamping the health sector so that the next president after buhari is dead can be treated in Nigeria.

Story for the gods. Same reason they have been giving from the time of Adam and Eve while our hospitals lye in waste.

Making excuses for a failed government. Nigerians want to know why the rich keep abandoning us to go treat themselves abroad why the state of our health sector is a sorry state. If all our hospitals are working and they prefer to go get medical treatment abroad it's fine and good.

You mean dull and empty heads like you? I wonder when you will start growing? Ewu. If you are wise and exposed enough, you will understand what the minister meant by his statement. It is better to continue treatment with someone who knows your medical history than starting.

The reason Nigeria HOS/President don't attend Nigeria hospital.

Trust.

Trust account for 90% of the reasons Nigeria Presidents and their spouses don't attend Nigeria hospital. They and their advisers are 'paranoid' that someone, somewhere, somehow will try to harm them. Simple reason but true.

The Minister of Health excuse for Mr.President is not logical. He's just trying to dance round the question. If am in his position too, l will probably say same thing. Let's look at it this way: what happens if the doctor you use to see before is 'dead', will you not see another doctor? What happens if the doctor Mr. President use to see is dead, will he not find another doctor (in Nigeria or Uk) to see?

This practice even if Nigeria hospitals become US hospitals 'next year' will not change.

We should give other citizens the choice and money to treat themselves wherever they wish to. Do you think any of us want to be treated in Nigeria? Go to hell with your explanation and make things better for Nigerians. We are Nigerians and not just you and buhari.

Hmm, is it that expensive to travel to UK to see a Doctor as a president? I think the problem here should be Nigerians prevailing on the sitting government so we have them state of the art hospital facilities here Nigeria, and channel you complaints through a meaningful media! What you people do here is gossip.

Before he became President of Nigeria, no bond with foreign doctors. Wasting government money on his medical tourism. Our leaders will loot; take their loot abroad, get sick go abroad for treatment. But when they die, they are brought back to be buried in Nigeria. May Os punish all the leaders that have made Nigeria a cemetery

This minister must be a mad dog

Unending lies...recall that the first time he traveled they said he was on vacation and never admitted that he was sick until they couldn't hold unto that anymore. Well, we don't blame you people because anything goes in Nigeria and that's why a man of your caliber can lie so blatantly!

He is obviously going for chemotherapy which is basically unavailable in Nigeria. It's a long treatment that's whybhes still there it takes several rounds. He obviously has cancer, most likely prostrate very common for men his age. Treated overseas he may even survive, shame really that's not good for the conluntry and others with cancer just die in pain

OSINANL said...

HE WILL STILL DIE

Then Buhari must really be daft as well as being an arrogant lying hypocrite. He does not realise the british are tired of him. Going to UK he is putting himself in their hands. His demise will be hastened. Be looking.

Which chemotherapy is not available in Nigera? Prostrate cancer chemotherapy is an ordinary tablet. Buhari and Osinbajo and this stupid minister better try another lie.
