Some abducted Chibok girls refused to be ‘freed’ - Negotiator says

A legal practitioner and one of the mediators for the release of the 82 Chibok school girls, Zannah Mustapha, has disclosed that some of the abducted Chibok school girls who are still in Boko Haram captivity, refused to be freed during the last negotiation that led to the release of 82 girls last Saturday. Speaking with Reuters, Mustapha said some of the girls have been radicalised.

"Some girls refused to return. I have never talked to one of the girls about their reasons. As a mediator, it is not part of my mandate to force them to return home”he said
On Saturday May 6th, 82 of the Chibok girls were released after a prison swap by the Federal government with some imprisoned Boko Haram members.

The truth we refuse to listen to is this: Chibok girls were taken captives but the captors are men who wanted women... These women may have been forced to be their mates at first but with time they develop fondness and some may never want to come back home. In all these, we know men like to treat their women right, esp if they can, so, who says these girls were tied up for 2 yrs? They may have been living ok

But the guy at the same time said he had no personal contact with the girls. So he does not know if they are coerced or dead. What a negotiator! And where is Dorcas Yakubu? This girl spoke in a video of BH and made it clear that she wanted to return home. Her name is not on the list.
