"The airport in Abuja was fixed quickly because the government & elite use it" - Filmmaker, Essang Solomom

Filmmaker, Essang Solomon shared some thought provoking tweets on how fundamental sectors in Nigeria like Education, Healthcare will develop faster, just like the runway at the Abuja airport was quickly fixed, if elected government officials had no alternative but to use the facilities in the country. See more tweets after the cut and tell us if you agree.

In Nigeria, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Oga Filmmaker, the airport was fixed quickly because the Minister of State for Aviation did the right thing, stuck his job ( and his neck) on the line, and he delivered gaddamit!

If you must write, just ask all other ministers to do their jobs efficiently and effectively just like Capt. Hadi Sirika has just done. Stop weaving nonsense conspiracy theories.

Aarrrrghhhhh

IT WILL BE TOO MUCH TO EXPECT EDUCATIONALLY REFORMED LAW FROM OUR LEGISLATORS SINCE THEY ARE EITHER ILLITERATES OR HALF BAKED OR AT BEST THE SCHOOL WENT THROUGH THEM. THEY HATE EDUCATION WITH PASSION, AND HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH ANY PROGRAMME THAT CAN BETTER THE LOT OF ANYBODY INCLUDING THEMSELVES THE REASON FOR THEIR STYLE OF LIFE BUT THEY CAN ENGAGE THE EXECUTIVE FOR FOUR YEARS.

Well.......at least it's fixed . We need it ! D kaduna journey was a nightmare

Made some sense. However, the airport has been long overdue for repair. How come previous administrations/elite did not fix it.

For once give credit to the govt if they deserve it. Haba! Mùst we always be critical. Airport is ready at record time. Kudos to the govt

He has a point but he shouldn't be too critical about this govt on this airport issue. Afterall the runway expired more than a decade ago and since then we have had 3 Presidents none of them fixed it. Give to caesar what belongs to caesar and to Buhari what belongs to him. The fact that 3 previous Presidents didn't do this project makes it a good achievement for Buhari

Absolutely true. In fact, we're working to seek for a law that will make it impossible for anyone who did not attend public schools to ever be in government in Nigeria

Say something else , is there any airport that is not used by government or elite ,be it Abuja or even Lagos , is it a poor man that would be able to afford what it takes to board a flight? Get busy my friend

My thoughts exactly. He should focus on his grade E film making. Ungrateful Plunker.

This exactly the same thing I said yesterday when I got the news. Mr Filmmaker is 100% correct. Let them apply thesame speed and sense of urgency to other sectors.

There's only one Minister of Aviation in Nigeria. Whether that role is divided into states subordinates I don't know, however this minister is in charge the state of aviation in Nigeria as a whole. So now I ask you this question, has the MOA fixed the airports in all the states in Nigeria, or just that of Abuja because Bhari and his counterparts frequently use it? Is the MOA even concerned with other states' airports or the shitty airlines are we have in Nigeria? If not please shut up dear riffraff eating from the national cake of Nigerian tax payers.
