Photos: Gov. Amosun rescue female aide to Gov. Aregbesola from angry mob at Adeleke's funeral

Ogun State Governor, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday, rescued Ms Idia Babalola, an aide of Governor Rauf Aregbesola and Commissioner nominee in Osun State from an angry mob at the premises of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke.
The crowd of sympathisers became restless when Babalola, a former Special Adviser to Governor Aregbesola, came in for the Islamic prayers ahead of the internment of the two-time Senator and first elected governor of Osun State.

Angry sympathisers demanded that Babalola be made to leave the premises.

When pleas from dignitaries at the event, including Ondo State Governor, Mr.Rotimi Akeredolu, failed to persuade the angry crowd, Governor Amosun had to join some other dignitaries in personally shielding the lady and leading her out of the premises.

After that, the Ogun State governor joined other Muslim faithful to observe the final prayers before the Interment of late Senator Adeleke.

Senator Adeleke died on Sunday and was buried on Monday morning according to Islamic rites.

That's what you get when bad leadership breeds a jobless and frustrated youth population. They become restless and see violence as the only instrument to express their grievances

Why attack a woman who was an adviser and is being considered to be appointed as a commissioner. This woman seems to be made a scape goat. Most advisers at her level could not have taken any decision that was not approved by her principal, the governor. I think the youths may have been sponsored. The youths should be careful and must be admonished not to take the law into their hands.
