EFCC operatives search Ikoyi flats owned by former governor Peter Obi, others, over seized N13bn

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision EFCC yesterday searched the flats owned by former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, former PDP chairman Adamu Muazu, former NNPC Managing Director (Retail) Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue and others in the Ikoyi building were N13 billion was discovered last Wednesday April 12th. According to reports, even flats that are yet to be unoccupied were also searched by the antigraft agency.

Confirming the search to newsmen, spokesperson to Peter Obi, Valentine Obienyem, in a statement released last night, said the flat owned by Peter Obi was rented by his wife, Margaret and he stays there whenever he has any engagement in Lagos.
“The media aide to former Governor Mr. Peter Obi has confirmed the search by the EFCC of Flat 1, occupied by the former governor in the building where the agency discovered large sums of money. The apartment was rented by the wife of the former governor and it is where Mr. Obi usually stays anytime he is in Lagos. Even though Mr. and Mrs Obi had travelled to the USA and the UK for speaking engagements, when we relayed the message of the search to him, he quickly sent the keys to the four-bedroom apartment to the EFCC via courier. He even left instructions that we should allow them to also search his Onitsha residence should there be a need for that. After the thorough search, nothing was found in the apartment”the statement read

All this pretend game by efcc is not interesting anybody. All Nigerians want to know is who owns the flat where the money ($43m)was found period.
I don't understand why the flat suddenly has no owner.

The SCRIPT Writer continues to write. Until someone is sentenced to 21 years imprison along with 1,000 lashes before the world. Dont believe in EFCC... This is Nigeria. Anybody can be paid to act the owner as long as the consequences of stealing such amount ends in FORFEITING. Don't forget this is Nigeria. Unless there is serious consequences to looting don't believe this. Teco Benson can make a better movie than what I am watching from EFCC Script performance. 1,000 strokes of cane is Islamic punishment! It shall be considered here in Nigeria.
