Photos: Shop with goods worth millions of Naira gutted by fire at EMAB Plaza, Abuja

An early morning fire outbreak at EMAB plaza, Abuja destroyed a number of shops with goods worth millions of Naira yesterday March 19th. It is alleged that the fire started from an electric fault. See more photos from the scene after the cut.

Ha may God forbid bad thing oo. That is how someone will go from being rich and comfortable to being in debt and struggling because they lost their goods in an unexpected fire. Biko is there insurance in Nigeria. Maybe it will take off some of the losses.

Emab has always posed a fire hazard. Wires everywhere. Everyone with their own gen. It's not great. The management of that place need to invest in a central gen or two and charge a service fee. Else, this is only the first of many to come. Not like I pray for it to happen but let's face fact here pls

Linda Ikeji, a shop got burnt and not a number of shops and it was due to the shop owner's carelessness. He forgot to unplug the electric pressing iron he was using before electricity went off. This is just a picture of one shop.
