No law prohibits Magu's name from being renominated again and again' - Itse Sagay says

Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) chairman Prof Itse Sagay (SAN) says there is no law that stops Magu's renomination by President Buhari.

Speculations were rife online yesterday that acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, may not be renominated by President Buhari after the senate rejected his nomination for the second time yesterday. However speaking to the Nation, Sagay says there is no law that prohibits President Buhari from renominating Magu.

“There is nothing stopping that. There is no provision in the EFCC Act that prohibits a man’s name being brought up again and again and again.”he said
Sagay says the senators rejected Magu because they know he has been outstanding in the fight against corruption
“They know that Magu has been outstanding in the fight against corruption, and that his achievements have simply been extremely praiseworthy. He’s been consistent; he’s committed. He’s a man of high integrity and his productivity has been high. The only reason they will refuse to confirm him is that they decided to be perverse on this occasion for reasons best known to them. Probably it’s known to everybody. Maybe it’s because he’s just too good for the job, and a lot of people are uncomfortable with people like that who are committed and determined to root out corruption from the country. That’s what it is. They have done their own part of the job – very good. They don’t appoint, they merely confirm. So, the appointor will continue to appoint.”

These people who claim to know too much are the bane of Nigeria.
Why nominate him indeterminable number of times? Who is interested in your constitution? Do you obey the the provisions of the constitution? Does this government obey the rule of law or court orders. When the homes of some judges were invaded by this same DSS that indicted Magu, the judges were forced to vacate office.
Why is Magu'S case now different? Why all this impunity? In a sane society Magu would since have resigned. The president would be exacerbating the mockery of his so called anti-corruption fight if he allows Magu to stay a day longer on that seat after this second rejection whether as acting or anything else. It is this same "gurus" (including Bismark) who pushed the president to devalue the Naira even when the president insisted that they had not given him any reason to do so. They continued to sing their theoretical economics until the president bowed to their advice. And as the Naira went into a free fall they changed gear and started blaming the president and the CBN governor. Magu should go ooo!

I like that.8th assembly is a waste of money they have failed Nigerians....nuel

Senate and DSS are behind everything just because of their fears, Nigerians want Magu as an acting EFCC Chairman, whether he fails the integrity test or not.

Noted:-
Senate president Bukola saraki is acting there and others but none of them pass the integrity test, all of them have cases to answer in the courts.

Enough of this mess.

Just as Trump keeps modifying his #travelban and the court likely to throw it out?
I don't have any issues with Magu not being appointed, only that this nation deserves to move in a very fast pace than it is doing.

Please this international embarrassment is enough. We must move ahead. Can't we get another person out of 180 million Nigerians?

Sagay, Buhari, Osinbajo and Aisha better give Magu some remedial classes in literacy and numeracy, and then in accountability, before they re-nominate him. Magu failed woefully in struggling to answer, or in fact in not answering the simplest of questions. Shameful failure.

May God help you and Buhari administration in general.I am 100% in support of any movement that would completely get rid of corruption out of our system. We are still studying these selfish and corrupt lawmakers,at the appropriate time we(the progressive youths would protest against them).

In a nutshell, lawmakers are almost 80% of problems this great country.
