"Greedy lying pastors are holding Africa back, not Europeans" - Dencia

Singer and entrepreneur, Dencia, took to twitter this morning to share her opinion on how organized religion is preventing the development of countries in Africa. According to her, if certain places of worship are taken away, there'll be progress in societies. See more tweets after the cut.

I try not to bother myself with this ish, if people are gullible enough to be so religious, they deserve their problems. Like Hozier sang, "take me to church, I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies".

Well spoken . Churches should be converted to factories . The Europeans that brought church have since move on to developing themselves while we drift everyday.

When you say church, its not just the structure we are also part of the church.

I go to church to receive strength and grace for my Christian journey.

I go to church to hear the word of God

I go to church to be connected to heaven.

I pay my tight and offering, that is my obligation as for the men of God who are not geniue God would judge not me

All churches should be liquidated, all their assets and investment, and used to develop the country.

The so called pastors should be audited and put in jail, is any misappropriation of funds are found.

Church business needs to be regulated, and if a do called god of man has no formal education, to hold the position they're in, they should be sacked.

The same goes for Islam.

According to Anon 14:52 - "All churches should be liquidated, all their assets and investment, and used to develop the country."

That's OK. After u liquidate the assets of occults, mosques and shrines. Capish? Everybody has the RIGHT to donate their monies to wherever they please. If pastor is eating my tithes and offering as u say, that's my business!!!! Back off!! Stay on your lane.

Na so. The Europeans that brought some Occults to Africa nkor? Aren't they still recruiting? I get your philosophy to kill the church so that wickedness can take over. Makes a lot of sense indeed.

Mademoiselle Dencia, I am surprised at your level of shallow-mindedness....take church away and you believe that will solve Africa's problem?

1. The church as you described above is a place where believers MEET for worship and sharing of the word of God. The real church are the worshippers and the Bible describes us as saints of God, inside us is a temple where God himself resides and by fellowshipping one with another our spirit man is edified.

2. We have read and heard amazing testimonies of salvation, deliverance, breakthroughs and many others when saints fellowship together in one accord not by force. So whether you are IBO,Yoruba or Hausa we can worship God together thereby promoting unity among our various ethnic tribes. Sadly, the opposite can be said about you bleach bleach cream, which has forced many of our women today to lower their esteem about their complexion and believing that they have to tone their skins to look beautiful at the risk of getting cancer.

Even developed countries in Europe and America have churches so why aren't they experiencing set backs?

My dear you need a serious project o so leave church alone biko. Learn from people like Madam Oby, Prof. Remi of Kowa party, our VP's wife and you will come up with something more valuable.
Tackle issues like poverty, sexual abuse among women, agriculture expansion in Nigeria and Cameron and your name will be written on the sand of time. No be church be Africa problem ...nah our corrupt politicians wey dey buy first class tickets of 3.5 million naira for people like you to go and enjoy with them.
