The old ethic that man’s business on this earth was to look out for himself is wrong. That was the ethic of the jungle; the ethic of the wild beast. Take care of yourself, no matter what may become of your fellow man. Thousands of years ago the question was asked; ‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’ That question has never yet been answered in a way that is satisfactory to civilized society.
Yes, I am my brother’s keeper. I am under a moral obligation to him that is inspired, not by any maudlin sentimentality but by the higher duty I owe myself. What would you think me if I were capable of seating myself at a table and gorging myself with food and saw about me the children of my fellow beings starving to death.

Mine was a lynching I saved a bike man from. I was living off campus in an area where thieves raided often. One evening a friend and I were returning to our hostel, we hear loud noises two hostels from ours. We enter to investigate. A man was seated on the ground with a tyre around his neck, about to be burned. We were informed that robbers raided that hostel about an hour earlier, and immediately the robbers left, this man appears from the bush with his bike: conclusion they then came to was that he was the get away ridder of the gang. But the man insisted his innocence. He said he just dropped a certain lady a few hostels down. Said her name was Nkechi I think, well that even sounded more ridiculous, who tells a bike man their name? Well we were sad but had to leave. On getting to our dorm, we meet people outside gisting so we share our experience. All of a sudden, a girl I had only known by her sophisticated English name, jumps up and says she was his passenger. He knew her name cos her boyfriend who put her on the bike called her name a few times while saying his good byes. Omo, see race to save bikeman. We got there just in the nick of time. The bikeman lay at our feet thanking us on ending. That's how we saved a woman from becoming a widow, children from becoming fatherless and parents from being bereaved. I felt like that spider man alias (what's his name again?). Wow a day I will never forget.

I bliv attack z d best form of defense...will always be, leme relate a short story...
Many years ago, a younger me was waiting for a chick I was crushing on in her Street , which z kinda far from my street buh still in d same neighbourhood...twas evening, from a lil distance, I sighted a weary guy running, b4 long I saw a crowd of bou 5 after him n weary like him too...they were shouting thief, hollam n he ran past me (not upto 6ft away from me, I cud smell him as he ran past me)I cuda easily tripped him buh I dint move a muscle, why? Cuz I know jungle justice will follow...he escaped into d barracks, as dey wia coming bk, one of dem stopped n asked me y I dint catch/trip d man, who am I, dah he has not seen me in ds Street...as a young teenager I wuda gone defensive buh being Street wise n having a quick temper, I flared up...in d end he left n i left immediately too for fear dah he myt come bk...in ur cousins case, even tho I'm against abusing women, he shuda started by beating dah woman when she held him n was shouting thief o...when d mob gathers, d first line of action wuda been to ask him why he's beating d woman n twuda gvn him d chance to prove his innocence...this z my personal view tho

Incredible India

I was robbed weeks to my wedding my car was vandalised my phones and my wife's phone all gone. I felt I let her down th I couldn't protect her. Made up my mind to be prepared fo such next time. Late last month on my w to the island descending the eko bridge saw this scruffy looking guy running towards my car I knew it was about to happen but surprisingly it was the car by my side that was about to be robbed. Whi the thief was at it I couldn't let him have I easily I hit him with my suv pinning him to the car h was robbing the thief was shouting and struggling I was ready to kill him, I wasn't ready to show him any mercy. I had to let him go bcos the guys in the car where just too scared and made no attempt to retrieve their phone from him even when he was helpless. And I no want gbese "you dent my car" he was limping and running. Was happy I did it. Kooth
