Photos: Cook of NNPC Managing Director, Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue absconds with $6m in cash and jewelry

A chef who worked for a Managing Director at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mrs Esther Nnadi-Ogbue, has absconded with cash and pieces of jewelry worth $6million, according to Sahara Reporters.

The man, identified as Gabel Segbedji, a Benin Republic national took off with the loot in a Toyota Camry car which also belonged to her boss, last Wednesday.

 Segbedji was reportedly recommended for employment by her close friend, Toke Benson. Mrs Nnamdi-Ogbue, whose daughter is set to wed later this month in London, is said to be totally devastated by the theft but didn't report it to the police.

Mrs. Nnamdi Ogbue was the Managing Director of the Petroleum Products and Marketing Company (PPMC) before she was moved to Products Retail by then GMD of NNPC, Ibe Kachikwu, last year

Why would she report it when she stole it. When a thief steals from a thief, no be stealing but dash, because the other thief would never report it. Na so be life. I wish he had taken more. Thieves and all of you stealing naija blindly may you never rest in peace and neither your family members that know the source and enjoy it freely.

How gullible can we really be? This is obvious junk journalism. Someone just copies a piece of malicious item and rushes to the press to run someone down. Poor lady has had a running battle with a very powerful cabal who had warped sense of entitlement just because they feel highly connected. Off course, with resistance to every push, they resorted to blackmail which led to an EFCC invite in early 2016. When she got a clear, her detractors were sought after and they promptly absconded from the country choosing rather to feed the public with false messages intended to malign and debase the lady. Let's encourage our journalists to wake up and ask probing and intelligent questions

First, I think it is very sad that we all seem to believe anything we see and read nowadays, how gullible are we? Only a few people are asking questions. Secondly, people are out here calling this woman name regardless of whether the story is true or not, which is very unfair. Third, I have an issue with linda because, a great percentage of Nigerian youths rely on your blog to get their information. I think it is very dishearten for you to just run a story(stories) (this is not the first time I'm reading false stories on your blog) without verifying if the story is true or not, but you'd rather just copy and paste from another website(sahara reporters) regardless of the damage you are doing all because of views/traffic. I respect you as a person and business woman, but I think it is time you differentiate yourself from all other rumour carrying blogs and news outlets. Finally, can those who are calling her names beat their chest that she is guilty? Please guys we can do better.
@Dapo Jojo thanks for that insight
@Xtralarge nice yarns
