28-year-old Nigerian national was arrested and charged with possession of drugs by members of the Durban Flying Squad Narcotic Drug Team in Bellair, on Monday, November 14th.The suspect appeared in the Chatsworth Magistrate’s Court earlier today.

According to the KZN police’s Col, Thembeka Mbhele, the suspect was arrested following a tip-off about drugs in the area.

"The Durban Flying Squad Narcotic Drug Team were conducting their patrols in the Bellair area near Chatsworth when they followed up information about drugs in the area.

Drugs such as rock cocaine, cocaine powder, ecstasy tablets and crystal methcathinone were confiscated from the suspect," added Col Mbhele.

The KwaZulu Natal acting provincial commissioner, Maj Gen Bheki Langa, praised the drug team for their dedication.
"The recovered drugs were intended to be sold to our youth who abuse them but with the intervention of the police, this was prevented. We appeal to the community to expose drug dealers by reporting them to the police," he said.

Men I'm getting tired and fed up hearing Nigerians all the time on headline news for being caught with drugs or committing crimes abroad. Later, when countries decide to pass strict immigration laws towards people from Africa,we would end up complaining. These criminals are just causing a mess with their acts of stupidity.
