Linda don't join the fray, rise above it. El Comandante was not a despot, former Cuban President will be more deserving. Correct that pls

No matter how good and better a political leader of a country is, if such leader is not a friend of America leadership, such a leader is called all sort of names just to make such a leader look bad. Fidel Castro will always be remember for the the liberation of hi people.

The word despot should never be used to describe a great leader like Fidel Castro. Linda kindly take note.

The word despot is a very insensitive one to use on this great leader.

So sad that our deep immersion into western capitalist ideologies has blinded us to the novel works of great men like Fidel Castro.

A man who rescued Cuba and other countries from the mental slavery of western imperialism and created a truly egalitarian society(which is the core precept of communism) for his country Cuba.

Although human, he had his limitations and maybe a few misgivings ,but these were over blown by his critics and haters especially d western media thus painting him a tyrant. But events in modern times(sins committed in Libya , mere lip service interference in Syria - as they have no oil to scavenge, hypocrisy in their own(US) elections etc) have helped reasonable political thinkers see that the West are the real existing tyrants and that their practice of capitalism is nothing but a bridge that puts them always at an advantage over the rest of the world and an instrument of making the rich richer and the poor poorer

You have lived well Fidel Castro, you fulfilled your years as the many attempts by the US and its allies to execute you failed impeccably. The annals of history will always credit good to your name no matter how much the wailing wailers in the West and their "ass kissing" followers in the 3rd world nations wail.

Linda, I keep saying it that you're just a slave for and/to Western and mainstream media. You're a big blogger now and you should try to go underneath the surface and do your own researches and try to present balanced views.

How on earth would you call Fidel Castro a 'despot'? Well, like I said you're a slave to Western media! Do your own search and see for yourself that every other region of the world from Latin America to South America, Africa and Asia celebrate Fidel Castro....except western powers. But hey, you just pick exactly what western media throws at you without trying to get your own real opinion.
