Nice quite thoughtful of her.
Finally enjoying the LIS network, was boring using it on the office PC earlier in the day, on my phone it's way faster and fun.

I'm here with hope to seek help. I'm a young lady in my twenties, trying to make my future better by going to school to become a graduate and get a job , but paying my school fees, hostel accommodation, feeding and buying my books which is about. 500,000naira . from now till I'm through with school in few years. is a problem and getting a job as a student schooling is very difficult. Any amount is very fine by me and I will greatly appreciate. I truly need help I suffered so much to get into school I don't want to defile my studies because of lack of funds. I hope someone will reach out to assist me. Thank you my email nnechichinne@yahoo.com

Personally I think the title for this should have been celebrating the success of women worldwide. It seems misleading stating it's about raising the next generation. It's still a good initiative though.Successful Women definitely need to be celebrated, especially those great at their career and building their homes.

Why was this event held in Washington? Ithought it was suppose to be about African women. About time we start to embrace our true identity, please host it in Africa next time! My thought..

Not hating but truth be told. This is all a sham. They should be having conferences like this at the local level of its meant for African women. Not in Washington. How does the average woman afford to go to Washington? The name should be changed jor. Congrats to the women being celebrated. Success is not easy though. Congratulations Linda. You are my all time favourite success story.

Yes. it was also about raising the next generation of female leaders. (Kindly see the link above) As AWLO also launched its new initiative AWLO Youth Council during that function. Thanks for your suggestion by the way.

Thanks for your thoughts Bukky. AWLO is an international organisation with a membership base of African Women and women of African Descent all over the world. We anticipate our upcoming event in Rivers State soon. Please learn more about AWLO at awlo.org
