Meet the winner of the 2016 Nigeria's Next Super Model + Recap of the show

In the search for Africa’s finest, Nigeria has been producing some of the world's finest models. . Now in its 10th year, Nigeria's Next Super Model  has been in the business of scouting and remolding untapped young girls into world class models who during and after their reigns continue to strut the international runways and feature in top designers fabric all around the world. It gets better each year and this year's marking the 10th Anniversary was an extraordinaire. 
 Nigeria's Next Super Model 2016 was infused into one of Africa's topmost fashion weeks - Africa International Fashion Week which  took place from the 16th to 18th of November, 2016 at D'Venue, water corporation road, oniru lekki lagos NIGERIA, an event that is known to pull together creative and talented fashion designers all over africa and it's environs. NNSM 2016 contest started at the early part of the year, of which several girls applied to stand a chance. 
Several screenings were conducted at various times of the year at different locations around the country. Final screening left 25 stunning girls standing, and in-camp voting left 11 girls standing. The AIFW 2016 peaked with the crowning of the 10th winnner of Nigeria's Next Super Model. 
Scaling through 20+ finalists, then Top 5 (Ibukun, Grace, Omolola, Blessing, and Faith), and then Top 3 (Ibukun, Omolola and Grace), the winner (IBUKUN) is no doubt the winner as the entire audience screamed in agreement at the announcement of her name as the Queen. 
She was gracefully presented with her gifts which includes a brand new Car by Studio24, VIP trip ticket by EU RAIL, and several other benefits that are awaits as the reign goes by... the founder, Mrs Joan Okorodudu always have this quote for the winner, "the winner takes it all".

Come December 2nd 2016, The Imo state Government will host one of the biggest events in Africa. Africa Modeling Ambassadors’ Awards (AMA Awards 2016) which will see African stars, brand ambassadors, conventional models and key players from different walks of life ranging from movies, music, sports, comedy etc all converge at the ten thousand capacity Imo International Convention Centre (IICC) where they will all be appreciated.

While speaking to newsmen in Owerri, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs, Hon. Chukwunonye Iruno said hosting African Brand Ambassadors is like opening the door of Imo State to the entire Africa and also another way to showcase the tourist potentials of the state as well as the wonderful talents in it.

The honorable also said that “Imo State is hosting the event as part of the plans of the state governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha to grow entertainment in the state”.

“It will not only entertain the state but will also grow the economy as those in hospitality and transportation business will be reaping immensely from it”…he added

J. Aside more than 100 multinational brand ambassadors who are expected at the event, there will also be conventional models from all over Africa vying for the top crowns in Miss AMA Awards 2016 Beauty Pageant, where the queen will become the official face of Africa Modeling Ambassadors (AMA) in addition to a cash prize of five thousand dollars (1Million Naira), a two weeks all-expense-paid trip to two African countries, where she will be involved in peace crusades and tours as well as a chance of getting an endorsement deal as a company’s brand ambassador.

The event will be taking place at Imo International Convention Center, Owerri on December 2, 2016; kicking off by 5:00pm. Ticket rates are Regular – N2000; VIP – N5000; Table For Four – N100,000.
