We should be upgrading the universities we already have rather than create new one...well at this point in time, I would think. Our higher institutions are way far from what they ought to be in every ramification, so why waste more money on new ones when existing ones are largely, eye sores?

Standard of education is what I expected them to improve on not opening and approving overrated secondary schools as universities. #Sic

please note that all these institutions are private owned and this administration shouldn't be credited for creating universities.. as i'm quite certain, one way or the other, they'd want to claim they built schools when campaigns for the next elections start.

This man Buhari is completely mal-administrator.Instead managing those Universities at hand and then establish more sector to create jobs,u were still creating more universities that will give room for more un-employment.

This Adamu of a president is busying approving more Universities instead of improving the standard of the tertiary institutions we have in Nigeria and also creating jobs, if he likes he should approve a number of universities that out numbers the Nigerian population if there are no jobs for graduates then he is only wasting precious time. In the last 3-5 years, no Nigerian university has been reckoned in Africa talk more of the world...Its been Universities in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania etc. Guess he thinks passing thru the walls of a university is about rearing cattle abi him think say na beans? Arrant Nonsense!

@Vitor Chinoo and some others. These new licensed universities are private owned, some by christian bodies and you will agree with me that in present day Nigeria , some private universities are better as compared to Govt owned so it is a good development that they are given licenses to operate for three years and to be mentored by long existing universities for standards.
