Cameroonian policemen manhandle students of University of Buea (Video)

Cameroon Concord has released a shocking video showing ruthless Cameroonian policemen manhandling students from the University of Buea.

This comes after the students from the University in the southwest, an English-speaking part of the country, on Monday embarked on a peaceful demonstration.

The students were demanding that the payment of CFAF 10,000, instituted by the Rector, for penalties for failure to meet the deadline for payment of tuition fees online, be terminated. They claim that they received an Academic Excellence bonus of 50,000 FCFA.

The students also demanded that lecturers, who speak and teach only in French, be fired.

In the video, French-speaking policemen were seen forcing four students to lie in the mud. One of them, female, was forced by a Police officer to stick her face in the mud continously .

Linda and my fellow LIBer's. This is what we have been going through in Cameroon. No schools have been going on now for almost two weeks. Massive killing of innocent citizens in Bamenda. The strike has moved on to Buea. It's not easy here on the English speaking part of cameroon

We are not power hungry menmy dear. We just want our independent. We want to separate ourselves from French Cameroon which has dominated us in all ways. We want our freedom. We want to have a say in our own affairs. Innocent people are being jailed all the time because our judges here are francophones and don't understand English. They end up sending our citizens to jailed for no reasons. We want these francophones to leave us alone. Freedom we stand for

This a big shame to President Paul Biya's regime. 34 years as a dictator. This is how he can manage his country.

English Cameroonians, you must stand your grounds. The regime is silent because they feel that you will stop when living conditions become hard. but i tell that change is not without a price. confer history of freedom fighters.
