Nigerian students in Russia protest over 12 months unpaid stipends

Nigerian students in Russia having took to the streets of Moscow Monday, to protest over a 12 month unpaid stipends at the Nigerian embassy.
The students who are beneficiaries of Bilateral Education agreement with Russia, a scholarship initiative of the Nigerian government managed by the Ministry of Education, which provides funding for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in selected countries, accuse the federal government of failing to keep their promise in paying their stipends, which has been left unpaid since October 2015.
Meanwhile, one of the protesting students in his tweets claimed that they were left in the cold to freeze for one hour thirty minutes before the embassy officials came to address them, only for them to be told that they didn’t come along with a written petition to the Federal ministry of Education.

Thank you very much for carrying our story. We really need help. People said we should work we have student visas it's illegal and it's still difficult to get an illegal job, even some Russian churches now are donating to some Nigerian students. It's that bad

Russian law doesnt support student to work, the student visa cant be used to work. There is no good work in Russia, the easiestvtype of job you find is manualconsttuction job, theybuse you as labourers, no part time job for blacks, theybll rather give it to the people for neighbouring countries like Ukraine, the stan countries, thr ones that comprise of the once ussr. Racism is mad and real. Another tjingbif you decide to work, you cant try it in winter, the temp gets so bad often around -20+, two in summer they have longer day you will wotk from 6 to 8 only to be paid 1000 rubles and im telling you the 1000 rubles is rubbish, imagine you are as a labourer digging from 6 to 8 or carrying cements from 6 to 8. Its not easy in Russia, thats it is only the FG thatvcan really help amd with the economy recessiin and the bad value of naira now the parents cant rrally help only thr ones that are rich can survive
