Lai Mohammed replies critics of "Change Begins with Me" campaign

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, yesterday replied critics of the "Change Begins with Me" campaign that was launched on September 8th. Speaking to a delegation of the National Council of Women’s Societies, NCWS who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Abuja yesterday September 20th, Lai Mohammed said
"So many people have criticised the campaign. Some have said that the campaign ought to start from the top. We completely agree with them, but their criticism is because they did not understood the campaign.
The campaign actually started from the top, because we are doing what we are preaching. This is the least ostentatious cabinet you can ever have. We are all living and showing good examples. We obey traffic rules. We queue up at public places and get to work early and close late. Some people said that we should wait for the economy to improve before we start the campaign, but we say no, for two reasons: If only those before us have launched the campaign, we will not be where we are today. If the campaign had sunk in, there will be no embezzlement, no corruption and no impunity. You cannot say, as a mother, that because you are poor, you will allow your daughter to go out from morning till midnight without correcting her. Though we are facing difficulties now, we still have to tell Nigerians the need to do the right things”he said

It is really a shame that our information minister is............ after all ''their criticism is because ''they did not understood the campaign'' Lind you too wicked, why didn't you help me correct it.

Permit me to end this contribution with a word for those that have chosen to support and assist our collective oppressors and who consistently defend and rationalise their wickedness, tyranny and murderous ways.
I proclaim that the blood of all those that have been slaughtered over the last two hundred years in the name of ethnic domination, conquest and jihad shall haunt you and yours from generation to generation. The Prophet Obadiah said,

“all your allies will turn against you. They will help to chase you from your land. They will promise you peace while plotting to deceive and destroy you. Your trusted friends will set traps for you, and you won’t even know about it"-(Obadiah 1:7).

This shall be the portion of our collective enemies and those that stand with them to impose their faith, to terrorise our people, to kill our loved ones, to enslave our children, to take our land, to rubbish our heritage, to destroy our future and to bury the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Just as in GEJ's government, so also in PMB's. Until d bloated government is trimmed and lawmaker salaries are slashed, Change remains a mirage.

And yet again, this man flirted around the edges of complain and blame .His filial loyalty to his party is becoming irksome now.
I don't really care about whatever campaign they want to launch, at least all are geared towards the emergence of better Nigeria but always dwelling on the past everytime Critism reared its head is not only petty but shallow
This government have alot of old balls in its cabinet, they should allow their grey hair prevail by addressing critism wisely without apportioning blames. Time for that is gone but I have a feeling it will go on till 2019

I believe in this campaign, but I don't think you can justifiably and confidently speak for the whole of this administration. Well I guess we will never know how corrupt free this administration is, until another government come into power and start probing their activities.

...I think the minister is either speaking for himself or not in touch with reality.
Convoys of serving ministers still beat traffic lights and run against traffic in Abuja.
I do not see Nigeria making sustainable progress until those appointed or elected to positions of authority begin to accept responsibility for the failings or successes of their office.
I do not see Nigeria making sustainable progress until what I've to offer is respected and valued better than the name I go by, the religion, tribe or political party I am affiliated to.

@Lai Mohammed, the 'change' actually began with you since on the May,2016. You remember the day you wrote a letter to the Director General, National Broadcasting Commission requesting for a loan of N13,120,470.00 to cover tickets and travel expenses to China, that was the day we started seeing the change from the top. Anu mpama!

Those eho voted for them are saying very loudly that they aware of what PDP did. But rather than constantly dwelling in the past and complaining like they are still in the campain mood, they should concentrate on that which is needful to bring about the required real CHANGE and stop all these bullshit about the past administration. A word is enough for the wise, that is the axiom. Can we then say that these people are not wise? We tire for una o
