He thinks he's king, if he wants a war he can have one' - Yaya Toure's agent hits back at Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola on Tuesday in a press conference insisted that for Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure to come back to the team, his agent will have to apologize for the things he's said against the team .
If you missed the story, read here

Now Yaya's outspoken agent Dimitri Seluk has fired back at the Man City coach saying he'll say what he likes and that Pep feels like a king because he's been winning games.

Seluk also called on the Spaniard to apologise to goalkeeper Joe Hart and former City boss Manuel Pellegrini for his role in their Etihad exits.

He said:
‘If Guardiola wants a war, then he can have one. I felt that Pep was being vindictive to Yaya. He has reacted to what I have said by punishing Yaya again. Pep doesn’t want players with personality. He only wants players who are scared of him and will do what he says.
‘The first thing he did when he arrived at City was to pick a fight with Yaya and Joe Hart, two of the club’s biggest players. They have both been big personalities in the dressing room at City and Guardiola doesn’t like that.
‘What do I need to apologise for? I will apologise to Guardiola if he will apologise to Pellegrini for what he did to him. Colleagues should have respect for each other, especially in England where it is important to act like a gentleman.
‘He also needs to apologise to Joe Hart. It’s not right to come to England and then get rid of a few English players. Guardiola wins a few games and thinks he is king.’

I like the fact that he hinted on Pep's ravaging ego...but adopting "purgation of emotions" to hit at Pep i.e."its not right to come to England and get rid of a few English players..." I strongly detest. That's aimed at inciting English Lads on ethnic sense. Every player is important whether English or not...so his argument should have been in the context or basis of whether Joe Hart and Yaya are fantastic and irreplaceable players...which both players are indubitably are.

Even if he looses games, he has nothing to prove. Pep is right. He is the most successful coach presently in the game. When he dumped Deco, Eto and Ronaldinho he won everything, he dumped Zlatan and won everything, he went to Bayern dumped Ribery and still conquer. Players need to be humble for coaches to succeed. Guardiola knows what he wants, and his employers are happy with him. Yaya agent is just a greedy seeking attention man.

the agent should stay away from the game even though he is stakeholder in the field , this is affecting the main player itself .

What's wrong with this one? u r just an agent, the success of a player depends on individual personality and the will of the coach to field him..... the latter comes first!

If you follow history, you will realize Pep has not been a fan of Yaya. He is an extremist.

Why punish a player over utterances made by his agent? That's just wrong !!! The agent is a grown man and toure has no control over what his agent thinks or says!

I hope the agent never apologises. The fact is whether toure plays or not, he is still training, keeping fit and getting his weekly salary!

Guy has bin on the bench even before his (Yaya's) agent said anything Pep is a good coach no doubt but he fool for this one

How can a manager of a player be insightful? Is it ok for Yaya to be above his coach judging from his explanation on personality of yaya and joe hart?meanwhile the same yaya Toure was upset at another player from an African country winning African footballer of the year (abamayung) from Gabon(Plays for Borrusia Dortmund. The agent is scared of loosing a big fish in his net that's all.Let Yaya agent go and hug transformer if he will not apologize .Players earning 250k pounds a week knows you should be fit at all times.

If you will look back at what happened with zlatan when he was in barca then you will understand that the agent knows what he's saying.pep likes to be in control,he likes to be feared.he doesn't like to see any big player in the team because he doesn't want anyone to have any kind of power or leverage.he is too full of himself.it also serves yaya right,he had the chance to leave but he didn't because of money, now he has realized that money isn't everything

If he thinks he's a good coach he should come and coach Ikorodu Utd or MFM.
