Did this actually happen?

According to this twitter user, there was power outage as Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola, mounted the podium to speak at a function at Eko Hotel earlier today.

Clearly this is not true.A look at the ceilings and background monitors show lighting. The projector is on,and obviously some lights were switched off to make way for the projector presentation.

They've been taking light even before I was born. Why would this one time be considered special. They took light during Nigeria 99 matches. Even during an Premiership game last season. I still don't see why this should draw political comments either. PDP, APC, military rule, NEPA still took light.

This is sooo true! I was right at that function when the light went out. As a matter of fact, the light wasn't quite stable as power was seized 4 times during the 4 hour conference.

There wasn't total black out though, as lighting from some of the camera crews halogen lights helped.
