Aesthetic, Liposuction, Alkaline Wash, Stretchmarks, Hair loss, Scars & Glutathione

While the skin can serve many functions and purposes, what we often see on the face of people could affect their self-esteem and look at the public.
Acne

This is a common skin problem that affects both young and old, either in the active phase or reminiscences stage with scarring of the face, arm, back and shoulder. While it may sound funny from our observation and experience, acne affects teenagers and it is also common in people in their early age.
Many adult are also living with the consequence of acne they had in past or the complications from the acne or as a result of products recommended by people or cosmetic shops.
It should be clear that a block or clog of the skin pore will result into acne after the sebaceous gland secretion fails to get to the surface of the skin. In addition there are also organisms in or on the skin that facilitate more oil product with resultant effect of more acne or oil production.
A lot of people having active acne, in addition to excess oil secretion, while people look for solution, many problems therefore occur as a result of using all sorts of skin care products.
WHAT CAN BE DONE
Understanding of what is good and appropriate for the face is very important. Treatment of the menace starts from visit of specialist doctor or getting the right recommendation of products.
Treatment with a peel ranging from Vitamin A propionate peel, one of our Favourites peel with no downtime. You come in for the peel and you don't peel at all which means you can go home and to work the same hour without any skin flaking after the treatment and the resultant reduction and clearance of the black spots. With subsequent application of our acne solution and a mandelic cleanser you are sure to have a radiant skin.
Other recommendations are the use of Vitamin C serum or Vitamin A propionate cream which will help with the spots or Hyperpigmentation.
Our Dermabright is also very good for Hyperpigmented spots but this should be separated from dark circle around the eyes which is as a result of breakdown of blood and blood products due to stress.

Dark Circle & Recommended product (CIRCLELIGHT)
These infra-orbital darkness are due to the accumulation of hemoglobin (part of red blood cells component) and its colour degradation products (biliverdin, bilirubin and iron) in the dermis and epidermis. This dark patches around the eyes, make people look tired, exhausted, unhealthy and older. CircleLight is a dark circle corrector that contains anti-oxidants and peptides, working against ageing and environmental damage around the eye area. The peptide in the DermaFix Dark Circle Corrector counter the effect of the end products of Hemoglobin and so remove the darkening effect.

Hollowness & Recommended product (Corrective Eye Complex)
DermaFix Corrective Eye Complex works in a similar way to the Dark Circle Corrector. However, in people with hollow spaces below the eye sac and associated dark circles, it can help to fill up those spaces and also remove the dark circles. This is due to the hyaluronic gel inside which is a Dermal Filler (topically applied) and di-peptide that removes the dark circle present.
The DermaFix Corrective Eye Complex thus combines Apple Stem Cell Technology with powerful peptides and Hyaluronic Acid. This combination increases the longevity of the skin cells, resulting in a reduction of lines and wrinkles.

ALKALINE WASH TREATMENT

This is an unusual and exclusive method of resolving a wide variety of skin conditions, delivering excellent results in rapid time. This highly versatile skin revision method has dozens of uses in treating a multitude of skin disorders and problem skin conditions. It can be used anywhere on the face or body and is suitable for males and females of any age or skin type. It can be used to treat acne, rosacea (reddened nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead), unwanted hair, hyper pigmentation and much more. Alkaline wash is available in our clinic and administered by our highly skilled professional therapist who has received advanced training as necessary.

HOW ALKALINE WASH WORKS

The system is a unique formula that takes the pH of the skin to the opposite end of the pH Scale. The alkaline wash has the ability to turn the pH of the skin from 5.6 to a pH of 12 in under three minutes. This action completely softens the skin cells. This dissolving action works on scar tissue, facial hair, razor bumps, acne on male backs and any unwanted hair on any part of the body without the use of harmful acids. This method is highly effective for the treatment of dark spot pigmentation problems. ALKALINE WASH is a highly effective and versatile skin revision method that delivers radical results in a very short time. Many users have found ALKALINE WASH to be a superior tool when treating difficult conditions such as pigmentation, acne, resurfacing scar removal and stretch marks.

Uses and Unlimited Applications
The treatment is extremely competent with a wide margin of flexibility in regard to its application and use.
ALKALINE WASH Works For:
  • Deep wrinkles and lines
  • Acne
  • Rosacea(Redness of nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead)
  • Pigmentation spots
  • Scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage
  • Hardened skin and callouses on the feet
  • Remove excess facial hair

SCAR RIVISION
Scars can be very disfiguring especially when they are on obvious areas of the body. Scars which lie across natural skin tension line will be obvious even at distance to observers viewing afar. In addition, there are scars which will limit the function of some parts of the body e.g. ectropion which could result from scar involving the lower part of the face leading to increase width opening of the eyes and increasing the likely tendency to injury to eyes
Scar in the hand could also lead to what is called contracture with subsequent functional limitation of the hand either in holding objects or in opening and closing the hand. In scar revision, the plastic surgeon rearranges the scar to fall long the natural skin tension line to make it oblivious to an observer.
At Grandville Medical & Laser, we offer great scar revision techniques which will make those scars appear less obvious compared to their natural original appearances. We have attended to many scars on the body including facial tribal marks which are usually of concern to many. Although responses differ but we can assure you that the best will be offered to you.
KELOIDAL SCAR
Keloidal scars are scars that develop from small areas of injuries e.g. pimples, minor injuries with subsequent overgrowth of the scar beyond the margin of the wound itself. The scar results from continuous production of collagen at the injury site and often times are seen in Blacks above 20 years. Very few times do you see this lesion develop in young people however it can occur.
There are usually family histories of similar lesion in first degree relatives and they tend to occur more on the upper parts of the body e.g. the chest, the ear lobe, the shoulder. They can also affect any part of the body like the leg, the private part, the breast and so on. There are many methods that have been found to be useful in the treatment of keloid and no one single method has been found to be the best.

The other modalities available are use of intralesional triamcinolone injection, surgical excision, Laser, radiotherapy and sometimes the combination of some of the methods above. Multiple modalities are employed in the treatment of keloid in our clinic and our results have been fantastic. The surgical debulking to steroid injection and the application of silicon sheet or gel after surgery or adjunct to any of the above method. Acquired Hand Disease e.g. ganglion, tendon injury. This we see in a lot of people. It is the commonest hand tumor .It is formed by synovial fluid within the capsular membrane around the tendon sheath.

At Grandville, we have seen people come with unsightly scars from wrongly done surgical procedures with respect to these cases – we offer a safe and top quality surgical procedure to remove the tumor with minimal scar.

LIPOSUCTION/FAT TRANSFER

Liposuction also known as lipoplasty ("fat modeling") or simply lipo is a minimally invasive procedure that removes fat from unwanted part of the body. This same fat can be injected into area of body where contouring is desired. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs, breasts, hips, pubic, buttocks, male breast tissue, to the neck, back of the arms and elsewhere.
Over the years, improvements have been made that more fat cells can more be removed, with less blood loss, less discomfort, and less risk. Recent developments also suggest that the recovery period can be shortened as well. Most people are able to get up and move around as soon as the treatment is finished and after the effects of the anesthesia or sedation have worn off. You can return to your normal activities as soon as you feel comfortable. Most people can return to work within a few days. Recovery may take longer if large areas were treated.

Laser assisted liposuction procedure
Our clinic, Grandville Medical and Laser, we make use of the power assisted liposuction machine. This technique uses cannula that has a spinning end to break the fat while the fat is being suctioned. This technique has been proven to reduce bruising and bleeding, less risk and discomfort. Liposuction is usually done as an outpatient procedure in our properly equipped clinic. In general, it does not require an overnight hospital stay unless a large volume of fat is being removed or additional procedure is done. Local anesthesia is used in some cases and you may or may not be given a sedative to help you relax. If a large area or volume of fat is being treated, general anesthesia or deep sedation with a local anesthetic may be used.

What To Think About
Liposuction should be done only by a doctor who has special training in liposuction and surgery of the skin and in how to respond to complications during surgery. You will also be at less risk for complications if liposuction is not done at the same time as other cosmetic procedures.
Common side effects of liposuction include:
·         Temporary swelling, bruising, soreness, and numbness in and around the treated areas.
·         Irritation and minor scarring around the incision sites where the cannulas were inserted.
·         Baggy or rippling skin. The skin will usually tighten and retract after a few months. But in some people the skin may remain somewhat loose.

STRETCH MARKS: The dermis is 95% of the total skin volume and when the dermis is constantly overstretched it can break down and leave stretch marks behind. Stretch marks occur when skin doesn't bounce back after it's been stretched due to pregnancy, rapid weight gain, extreme weight loss, or use of toning and bleaching products. Hence, stretch marks seem to be caused, literally, by stretching of the skin.
Focus of stretch mark treatment will be to restore the structural integrity of the skin by increasing the thickness of the skin and stimulating collagen formation. This could be achieved by using the following products:-Copper Serum, SND Corrector, and Intensive Scar repair with Microneedle.

HAIR LOSS
Hair loss, also known as alopecia, is a loss of hair from the head or body.  Traction alopecia is a small or localized hair loss area caused by repetitive or persistent pulling or traction on hair roots. Tight braids and ponytails can pull hard enough on hairs to make them fall out. Baldness can refer to general hair loss or male pattern hair loss. Hair loss may cause gradual thinning, bald patches, or complete baldness
Causes: As we age, our hair naturally begins to thin.  For both men and women, the most common cause of hair loss (alopecia) is heredity, as your likelihood of experiencing hair loss increases if your relatives have experienced hair loss.  Other contributing factors may include underlying medical or hormonal problems, medications, excessive weight loss, stress, chemotherapy or radiation.  Signs of hair loss vary by each person and symptoms can include sudden loss of patches of hair, noticeable thinning on the scalp or crown, a receding hair line or excessive shedding.
Treatment (Hair Regrowth): Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) may be used as a treatment for hair regrowth. For optimal results, Grandville Medical and Laser is the best place to have your Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) cosmetic treatment.

GLUTATHIONE, SKIN WHITENING TREATMENT:
Glutathione is an antioxidant that helps whiten the skin, synthesize and repair DNA, facilitate the recycling of vitamins C and E and it is made of all-natural amino acids that occur in nature and are beneficial to our bodies. Glutathione can be found in many healthy foods that people eat on a regular basis, some of which are actually considered among the healthiest foods in the world such as asparagus, broccoli, spinach, garlic, raw tomatoes and avocadoes however they won’t actually work to whiten your skin.
Glutathione is commonly taken in pill form or it can also be taken via intravenous injection, though you’ll need to visit your dermatologist to have this procedure done. Glutathione injections are highly effective and as such many dermatologists recommend Glutathione injections because they get 100-percent of the dose into your bloodstream. This antioxidant slows your body’s aging process and helps the body to detoxify. Most people use glutathione in the treatment of skin blemishes such as moles, freckles, uneven skin tone, age spot, skin patches, spots, wrinkles and getting a light skin. Therefore it is the best anti-aging product in the market.
