Photo: Borno Governor, Shettima sits with students during a class session to assess quality of teaching

Governor Kashim Shettima on Tuesday, February 16, paid an unscheduled visit to Auno Central Primary School and Junior Day Secondary School in Konduga Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State and sat down with the students in order to access the quality of teaching.

The Governor stressed that no meaningful development could be achieved without education.

He stated that in order to entice families to send their children to school, the State promised to provide one meal per day to attendees.
"It is only education that will give you equal opportunity to contribute for the development of your communities, State, and the nation at large. I urge parents and guardians to send their wards to school," he said.
He directed and emphasized that all school-aged pupils be enrolled and that parents should know is their responsibilities to send their wards to school.

Look at this BOKO HARAM SPONSOR, SHETTIMA? Your name alone ring bells to suicide bombing. why didn't you go to those rural schools where they don't even have chairs? OLE. about 10% of BORNO state only have good structured schools and u are here talking about education.. BOMBOCLAAT

Most of these Governors have no clue; sitting down in the classroom to access the quality of teaching ??? Does he thinks that is how to do it with the classroom filled with his aids and distracting the pupils. Quality will come when he provides the basic needs including convenient classrooms and chairs and sending inspectors that know what quality means.

God is a Good God. He shows he is above the rules normally each learner ought to put both feet within the desk, his is outside how can he further observe the instruction from the teacher and i hope he is not inculcating misbehavior among the students as Boko Haram were misguided from his state.

And how often does he intend doing this? Mtcheww politicians be doing their rubbish. Believe me That's the best teacher they have in that school and the brightest students they have. And I know a topic they taught them before is what the teacher is repeating with series of rehearsals with the students before hand.
