Lady tells her experience in a Keke Napep driven by a Deaf driver

Another inspirational story. Not allowing his hearing defect to hinder him. Instagram user - Dr Chisom shared her experience on her way to a hospital in a Keke Napep that was driven by a Deaf driver today. What she wrote after the cut....

Yes very inspirational but am sure there are other things he can do, I dont think it's safe, as a driver your eyes can't be everywhere at the same rime tats why they made provisions for the car horn, how would he hear when someone horns for him to stay clear danger zones, most drivers on the road wont understand his blind

Much as I encourage his zeal to be independent, this line of business is risky to his life and those of the lives of the passengers.
1. How does he know your destination, if it is not on a straight road?
2. How does he know when a trailer or any vehicle is horning for him to leave the road?
3. How does he know when by-standers try to warn him of an impending danger?
With his determination, there are other jobs he can do without risking the lives of his patrons

Not necessary needing your sense of hearing before driving. I am a Deaf and been driving commercial car for 3years and my personal car for about 10yrs now. Never had an accident. Lots of Deaf People in Nigeria drive. Disability is not Inability, rather it is thisAbility!!!
