ok when someone crashes ur car are you suppose to constitute nuisance by disturbing others from going home, although i dont condone what the military guys did, sometimes we behave like animals and its only the whip that could bring us to correction. if those drivers were not animals it would not have cost them anything to park by the side of the road and argue out whatever the matter was, but in the name of human right we believe we can just behave as it suites us. have you asked the question that why is it that when we see mopol officers or soldiers that we fall into shape. if we civilians behave normally they would respect us.

All I can say is this, while you are doing #ObalendeLivesMatter, may you not go to the US you so eulogise to be a victim of #BlackLivesMatter.

You'd then find out which one is desirable.

I just hate the way they oppress innocent citizens. This is the main reason I don't like uniform men especially the army. There are places we expect them to flex their army muscles, they wouldn't do that' instead you hear they ran when the enemy approaches. God help us.

These are the people spoiling Nigeria. All ye foolish soldiers. You are destroying the nation your sons and daughters will live in tomorrow. Let their superiors warn them, petition them, sanction them, and instruct them to stop treating civilins inhumanely without a just cause.

Anonymous said...

This is a quasi military regime so get real. Stop complaining.

Solomon Chukwuka said...

Hmmmm....no law In Nigeria

lawal saula said...

As you lay your bed, so shall ye lay on it. We and our fathers contributed in one small way or the other in bringing Nigeria to the level of rot we find it today through our active or passive actions and inactions at one theme or another! So instead of just complaining and complaining, let us learn to start to change tactics to acting as agents of corrective actions as in #organisingPeopleForChange just as Fe la Anikulapo of blesse memory advocated in 'Sorrows, Tears and Blood' for organised resistance against tyranny instead of fearful aloofness and fruitless complaints. Freedom and liberation from oppressors are never gotten on a platter of gold, they are always fearlessly fought for!

What have the people who sit in cars on the island got to do with the issue at hand? Why didnt you get off the bus and gallantly confront the soldiers? Abeg get over your inferiority complex and focus on the real issue.

nigerians need to stop this thing of parking in the middle of the road and holding up traffic there is of an accident. the right thing is to find a way to park outside the main road and resolve the issue.

the Nigerian armed forces have always had issues of indiscipline and excessive use of force, and I think it comes from their training input, they lack control in everything that they do that is why they always bungle everything that they are involved in e.g the zaria clash between them and the shiites.

Juliet Iwuno said...

He spoke the truth but at times, Nigerians only understand the hard way. I bet orderliness returned to the road when the flogging began. Linda take note!

While I do not condone 'Army' whipping civilians, Lagos danfo drivers deserve whatever they get. No exceptions. All are lunatics on the road. Yes, am generalizing here but it is the truth. They jump queue anyhow anywhere, drive on pavements, face on-coming traffic on the wrong lane, brush cars while trying to force their way into peoples lanes etc. Check them on 3 Mainland bridge when there is traffic or at Obalende when they park to load passengers. If and when a Lagos danfo driver bashes your car with their careless 'by force' driving and tries to beat you up in the process, then you will appreciate that they are animals and should be treated as such.

David Uche said...

this what you should expect in an "Arrangi Govt"....

Anonymous said...

What's this fellow saying? It's only someone who doesn't know the only way Nigerians comply with rules and regulation is by whip. Sad to say. The Nigerian society is so indiscipline that even running a democracy becomes like booby-trapping self. Saddest to say that many Nigerians give unreasonable meaning to democracy and human rights. Democracy cannot be a licence for indiscipline and lawlessness. Your rights cannot become another person's bondage. Pure and simple. If the traffic was not cleared, it's pple like this fellow that'll first accuse the authorities of failing in their responsibilities . Those who fail to understand the sincere meaning of democracy and human rights will learn the hard way. QED.

Nigerians don't forget we live in a Zoo and applicable laws apply.
no.1. All animals are equal but some are more equal than others
2. animals that don't obey the law of the time should be whipped into submission
3. if they still don't obey, you have license to kill
.... more laws to come
