I don't think u should dear... Wedding gown is a personal effect and it's very significant... She and her boo should contribute money to buy one. If they can't afford a classy one Like yours, they should buy a cheaper one... You could also assist her with cash too...

Well a wedding gown is very significant. It all depends on the relationship you have with your friend, if she is very close den you can explain to her if you don't want to give it to her, you really cannot trust anybody these days please be very careful and do everything with wisdom so your friendship won't be affected. You can also talk to your husband about it and hear what he has to say. All the best

There's is nothing bad in giving it out. Besides the one set on hire is been wore by many different people. It's something you wear ones and
can't wear again no matter how classic it is. So I don't see anything bad in giving it out to a friend. Maybe she actually liked that particular gown... u Cnt say for sure that it's all bcos of money. en evn if it's all about money, then note u have done her a huge favour..#

It's your call my friend, but since you ve brought what was asked of you in confidence to the public domain, I would strongly advice your friend not to collect it again. No need.

Sisi De'nim said...

It is a garment you will not go back to use, you can lend it to her depending on the relationship you people shared back then (if it was always about you people being close, she always wanting to be better off or have what you have).
In African setting nothing is impossible- people can exchange people's fortune and luck by such acts. Is she diabolical? Those home videos should teach you more dear. Most importantly, share it with your hubby and hear what he has to say.

Omareen said...

Before nko, are you planning another marriage? It happens dear, besides she is your Friend, dont rent or sell to her, she will feel bad. Anyways, it depends on the definition of your " friendship" ooo, if you don't mind, you can still collect it back after the wedding if you so treasure the gown..but don't wear it again oo(anyway, nothing concern you with wedding gowns again) on the other hand, you can leave it for her if you are not so sure or having a second thought as regards your " friendship"

But tell your husband first ooo, seek his approval and hear what he has to say about it.

I rest my case.!!!

First, I must say u are silly to ask us this kinda stupid question .
Are u keeping d gown for ur burial?
She is supposed to hire it from u but I will NEVER collect money from om a friend who admires my gown and wld luv to wear it on her day. I shld rather be proud.
I percieve u as stingy and proud. Keep ur gown and wear it on ur burial day. I wish she will see this and related it to ur discussion with her.. Ewu Gambia like u.
