As seen in a hospital in Lagos (photo)

A LIB reader visited a hospital in Lagos yesterday and spotted rats roaming about. Is that not the cause of Lassa Fever? He managed to capture one in a pic. See close-up pic after the cut...

Is the hospital a government-owned or private hospital??? Leaving out the name and exact location is like winking in the dark. How is the health agency of government suppose to apply necessary measures? What are LIB readers suppose to do with the photo, other than lament and make silly comments? We are in a democracy and we are all stakeholders. Let us be the change we yearn for. Next time do a total reportage of ills in the society and not this half-hearted attempt.

It's a sad truth that most hospitals in Nigeria (even the known private ones) have problems dealing with rat infestation. If you are around their kitchen area from 7pm, you're sure to se a mouse pop out from somewhere to say hello.I've seen mice at Duro Soleye hospital, St. Leo's hospital, General hospital Ikeja... Something drastic truly must be done to curb this.

Pesin Pikin said...

Not good at all o! Such sights may prompt one to sue the hospital if it were in the western world

So rats dont have the right to see a doctor for treatment? The only thing is that the rat went to the wrong hospital. The rat was meant to go to a vetenary clinic. Hahahahahaha

Rats in hospitals....wat an irony...wen they should be attending to lasser fever patients

When u try and go abroad to give birth or get good treatment, they will be saying you are not a patrotic Nigerian. I pray God blesses me. All my children will be born abroad in Jesus Name. Imagin a sick person admitted in such a hospital? This is why people run abroad for treatment. Stmcheew

Hospitals are supposed to be the cleanest places in the world. What a shame!

Hahahahahahahahahah... @ Solomon Idode u no well !!!

Maybe the rat na witchcraft sef that came to complete its mission of taking somebody's life in that hospital. It could be a spiritual attack. The best thing is to go for treatment abroad if you can afford it until our government get their acts together.
