Is Ola Ray Nigerian? + Rihanna before and After

Thriller was the video that changed pop music forever... and turned Michael Jackson into the biggest star in the world. Made by top Hollywood director, John Landis and lasting 14 minutes, it was the most expensive pop promo of its era with the unprecedented budget of £400,000. It helped Michael's Thriller album to become the biggest seller of all time with profits of £700million.

The video also featured a certain model called Ola Ray

Ola was a 22-year-old glamour model trying to break into acting in 1982 when she beat hundreds of other hopefuls to the part of Michael Jackson's crush in the mini-horror movie

Yesterday, May 6, 2009, it was reported that Ray sued Jackson in a dispute over royalties for the Thriller video.

Yeah well that's not the reason for this post. Someone told me today that Ola Ray is Nigerian. I've checked a lot of articles written on her and there's no mention of her being Nigerian...
But this friends swears he knows what he's talking about.
ngbo my people, is Ola Ray Nigerian?

Lagbaja's new albums hit the streets!

All the details you’ve been waiting to know

The much-anticipated twin albums from Africano musician Lagbaja are now ready for release.

Titled ‘Paradise’ and ‘Sharp Sharp’, the albums will be released into the Nigerian market on Monday M
ay 4, 2009.

As is characteristic of Lagbaja, all tracks on both albums have various slants and characters, but the common denominator remains the traditional African drums. Lagbaja’s saxophones also feature prominently on the new recordings; and it’s the first time since ‘Cest Un African Thing’ (1996) that the saxophone is taking such prominence on Lagbaja’s studio recordings.

Listeners will hear Lagbaja doing remarkable sax solos on ‘Paradise’ and ‘Sharp Sharp’ – songs like ‘Bling Bling Panda’ and Sobolation have the saxophone blazing while tracks like ‘paradise’ and ‘sharp sharp’ actually have the saxophone in the intro section of the songs dueting with the lead vocals.

The traditional African drums- the mainframe of the Africano genre- is also conspicuously present throughout the entire album. And, interestingly, most of the songs were recorded live. Lagbaja is an advocate of Live music; believing musicians should play their instruments as opposed to the recent common practice of completely ceding music production to the computer.

The albums were recorded in Lagos at Motherlan’ Studios; and in the USA at Bennett Studios. All the songs were mixed in different US studios, including Studio Crash (Pennsylvania), Bennet Studios (NJ) and Studio 4 (Pennsylvania).

Apart from mixing several of the songs on the album, Grammy award-winning engineer Dave Kowalski also recorded the Salsa version of Lagbaja’s composition ‘Deja A Mi Gente Quedarse’ (Let my people stay) at Bennet Studios. The cut features some of the top Latin music players of the New York scene.

Other tracks on the albums are:

PARADISE: Sobolation, paradise, lulu fun won, Deja A Mi Gente Querdase (Spanish), Iro Whe, Iyawo tororo, Jenke and Kekekeke

SHARP SHARP: Bling Bling Panda, Sharp sharp, let my people stay, Eko mega city, Liar Liar, different cloth different season, dress with sense

The albums will be available in traffic and all retail outlets in Nigeria, as well as on www.lagbaja.com from Monday May 4.

Meanwhile, another album ‘Africano Party’ whose release has been pending since 2005, is also scheduled for release later this year.

Would you stay with a bi-sexual husband?

If you discover that your husband of nine years and father of your three children is bisexual, what would you do.?

This lady discovered in December after nine years of marriage, that the man she thought was her husband’s best friend is actually his lover...lovers even before she married him.

Ever since she discovered, her life hasn’t been the same. For one thing their sex life doesn’t exist anymore, but she’s scared of divorce ‘cos of her children...and the society.

She’s so confused she sent me an email...

Now you have to note that her husband is loving, doesn’t treat her bad, does not flaunt his affair, is sorry she discovered, still wants to remain married to her and take care of their children...only problem is; he sleeps with men.

What would you do if you were this lady? She seriously needs your advice

But my issue is, is it possible to be with a man for nine years and not know about his alternative lifestyle? Do we women have our suspicions but decide to turn a blind eye to it until it’s too glaring we can’t pretend anymore? I'm just thinking; if I had a gay husband, how would I not know? Mehn I'll burst his gay ass within a year...I'm too much of a James Bond not to discover...lol

I'm sorry this is not a laughing matter ;)

So what’s your advice? Stay with a loving bi-sexual husband or leave him?

Meanwhile check out Kelis' hair evolution over the years

How would you describe kelis' style and what's your fav look?

News of the day

Pink on being a bi-sexual

In a recent interview, Pink reveals what many people have thought for a long time.

The singer exclusively tells the UK's News of the World, "I'm not embarrassed about being bisexual. This is who I am. Love is pure and I try to keep it that way. This is who I am, what I feel. I think it's unnecessary to draw the subject out, but I think it even more stupid not to discuss it. It seems as if bisexuality is a trend and I should whip up the masses. Well, I don't believe in trends, I just believe in me."

Pink recently reconciled with her husband Carey Hart, but she says "I would also be just as happy with a new women. I'm not complicated, I sing about love in all its shapes, forms and colours."
