Man who killed his wife and posted a photo of the bloody corpse on FB is convicted of murder

A Florida man who killed his wife and posted a photo of the bloody corpse on Facebook was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder after failing to convince a jury that he shot her eight times in self-defense.
Jurors found 33-year old Derek Medina guilty of 2nd degree murder, shooting a deadly missile and child neglect. However, the jury did not believe he pre-planned the murder of his 27-year-old wife Jennifer Alfonso. Either way, he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Elderly couple recreate their wedding photos for 70th wedding anniversary

An elderly Chinese couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary by recreating their wedding photos. According to Chongqing Evening News, Cao Yuehua, 97, and his wife Wang Deyi, 98, from southwest China’s Chongqing returned to the same place they took their wedding photos in 1945, dressed up as a newlywed bride and groom, and recreated their wedding photo. Cao even recited the poem he wrote to his Wang 70 years ago.

I won't renege on paying N18k minimum wage- Amosun

Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun says he will not renege on his promise to pay the N18, 000 minimum wage despite calls by some other state governors to have the minimum wage reduced due to the reduced Federal allocation.

Governor Amosun stated this during the presentation of the 2016 Appropriation bill to the members of the State House of Assembly in Abeokuta yesterday November 24th.

2 activists glued themselves to the gate of an immigration detention centre in bid to stop the deportation flight to Nigeria & Ghana

Their plan didn't work as a plane carrying 500 Nigerians arrived Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos this morning. According to a UK campaign group, Unity Centre, on Tuesday, Nov. 24, two people reportedly glued themselves to the gate of an immigration centre in an attempt to stop the departure of a flight from the UK to Nigeria and Ghana. The two people were among anti-deportation activists gathered to protest at Colbrook immigration removal centre, near Heathrow airport, in an attempt to block a bus carrying detainees from leaving.
